Sherpa®/IPD

Sherpa®/IPD is a turnkey application for implementing integrated product development (IPD) across a manufacturing enterprise. Also known as concurrent engineering, IPD helps companies develop better products more quickly and cost-effectively by incorporating input from design, planning, manufacturing, and product support experts at each stage of the development process. Sherpa/IPD provides a STEP AP203 complaint data model that supports all types of product data. Sherpa/IPD also provides Configuration Management (CM) of product data by enabling compliance with ISO 9000 and MIL-STD 973, Sherpa/IPD provides CITIS support for CDRL/SDRLs complaint with MIL-STD 974, allowing military and commercial vendors to deliver product data to their customers using a standard, well-defined process.
